The Greek Finance Minister says he's stepping down, a day after voters rejected a proposed bailout deal. In an online post this morning, Yanis Varoufakis says he became aware of a 'certain preference' by some in the Eurogroup for his 'absence' from its meetings, after last night's result. He thinks it'll help secure a deal on Greece's finances if he resigns.Damian Mac Con Uladh reporter spoke to us Live from Athens

The number of burglaries, thefts and public order offences in Clare last year has fallen. Other categories of crimes were up, however, according to new CSO figures. The reduction in burglaries and thefts in Clare last year was small, but welcome nonetheless.There was still nearly one burglary per day, with an annual total of 353, but this was down 22 when compared with 2013. The number of thefts also reduced year-on-year by over 5% to 943. There were also 100 fewer public order incidents, and crimes in which property was damaged. Drugs related crimes were up, however, with Gardaí detecting an increase of 10% in the number of offences in this area while sexual offences were up by 14 on the previous year and by 5 when compared with 2012. Chief Superintendent John Kerin joined us in studio to discuss.

Barefield native Ann O Loughlin Irish Examiner Journalist and Author spoke to us about her debut novel The Ballroom Cafe which is currently No 5 in the Amazon kindle Top 100. The paperback launched in Ireland on June 18 last. Central to The Ballroom Cafe is the forced and often illegal adoption of illegitimate lrish children to the US right up to the 70s, which as you know is one area going to be covered under the Mother and Babies Inquiry. The Ballroom Cafe is the first work of fiction to come out of Ireland which concentrates on the forced adoption of young Irish children in orphanages to the US. 

Clare FM Sports Derrick Lynch joined John in studio following the weekend's sporting action. 

Clare football boss Colm Collins says he's disappointed by their exit from this years championship. Longford got the better of the Banner in Cusack Park on a 2-12 to 1-12 scoreline in Round 2A of the Qualifiers. Joe Garry also gave his reaction. 

Meanwhile . . . Goals from Conor McGrath, John Conlon and Shane O'Donnell saw the Banner cruise to a 3-26 to 0-15 win over Offaly, Clare's first championship victory since the All Ireland replay of 2013. Clare will face Cork in Round 2A of the All-Ireland Hurling Qualifiers. Following Saturday's win over Offaly, the Banner went into the hat for this morning's draw and have been paired with the team they beat in the 2013 All-Ireland Hurling Final replay. Clare FM Analyst Hurling Tommy Guilfoyle also joined the conversation.
