There’ll be no big screen in Ennis for the All Ireland Hurling Final Replay.
Despite crowds of 3000 people turning out to view the big match last Sunday, the local Council says there won’t be a repeat event due to changed circumstances for the replay.
They’ve also confirmed that homecoming celebrations for the Clare Under 21s will be put on hold until after the senior final.

Brian O’Neill of the Ennis Chamber and the Rowan Tree Hostel also spoke about the decision not to stage a big screen for the replay saying that the business community were in favour of it.
However, Amanda Hogan of the Clare Hurling Supporters Club, expressed disappointment at the decision
She reacted to the overwhelming support the hurlers are experiencing.
The U21 All Ireland Final takes place in Semple Stadium, Thurles this Saturday when Clare take on Antrim

The final phase of the Sixmilebridge community difribulator fundraising initiative is taking place tonight with a concert of local talent in the catholic church at 7pm
The community has been fundraising for the past six months and have raised over 9,000 euro- they need another thousand to but 5 difribulltors- two of which are going to Kilmurry and Sixmilebridge National Schools
Sixmilebridge Councillor John Crowe encouraged people to come along – €5 at the door.
