Ahead of an anti-water charge meeting tonight in Ennis the Organiser Paul Whitmore joined Marian on the show this morning to outline his objections to the water charge. Paul is a local resident in Ennis, his holding a meeting in Ennis against the water charges. Paul is refusing to pay them and is prepared to take the consequences. Paul is 38 with a young family and mortgage living in Ennis, his family is finding it difficult to make ends meet as things stand and feels this tax could be the last straw. His not affiliated to any party or group the idea of the meeting is to get a debate going and maybe get like minded people together with a view to perhaps getting an organisation together to combat the charges. The meeting is on tonight at 8p.m in O’Connell’s bar
In 2014, The Outing Lisdoonvarna LGBT Matchmaking & Music Festival will come to life with more entertainment, more clubs, more DJ’s, some comedy and more craic to be had by all! This is the LGBT music festival to be at as we take over the historic village of Lisdoonvarna, its hotels, its bars, and its venues for the whole weekend, from the 3rd – 6th October. Eddie McGuiness Organiser of The Outing soke to Marian about the event and his own personal story of coming out as a gay man.

With a packed programme of competition, and concerts open to the public, up to 400 barbershop singers will converge at The Glor Theatre Ennis, Co. Clare, from Friday 3rd to Sunday 5thOctober next, at the 25th Annual Convention of the Irish Association of Barbershop Singers (IABS).The event officially opens at 7pm on Friday 3rd October, 2014 with a Gala Competition and Guest entertainment evening, with a further Winners Gala Concert at 8pm on Saturday 4th October. We were delighted to have Fortuity, the all female Barbershop quartet in studio for some wonderful live music.
