Friday’s Morning Focus opened with a discussion with Bishop of Killaloe, Fintan Monahan, who is at the World Meeting of Families.
It comes as the clock ticks down to the visit of Pope Francis to Ireland.
Next on the show was the topic of mental health services in Ennis. Maria Ryan, a local activist, spoke with James Mulhall of Clare FM about a protest taking place this Saturday.
After that, Sara McFadden and her mum Sandra joined Pat. They spoke ahead of the launch of the Clare Stages Rally on Saturday at Hotel Woodstock (7pm). Sara, who is 17 and is visually impaired, will navigate for her dad, Keith, at the rally which takes place on September 15 and 16 in Ennis.
After that, Morning Focus producer, Fiona McGarry updated Pat on the latest developments on the application to build a motorway services plaza close to Ennis.
Then, the Friday Panel – John Quinlivan, Aisling Meehan and Martin Waldron – joined Pat in studio to chat about the week’s biggest news stories.
