On Friday Morning focus showcased a special edition of their show. It included our usual Friday Panel as well as a full hour on Sexual Violence in Clare, and much more.

The show kicked off with the week long competition. Clare FM in association with Collins Jewelers are giving away an engagement ring worth 2,500 euro for Valentines day to one lucky listener.

The first hour of the show consisted of a Seanad Éireann discussion. Clare FM’s Fiona McGarry joined Gavin in studio to talk about sexual crimes in Clare. She reported that a total of 45 sex crimes were reported to the local Gardaí last year. Senator Martin Conway raised the issue at the talks and Minister Katherine Zappone committed to examining increased funding for Rape Crisis Midwest and particularly for its service in Clare.
