This morning’s programme opened with the current political crisis and assessed the prospects of a snap General Election, following further email revelations.
Kevin Doyle, Political Editor of the Irish Independent joined Pat on the line to discuss the current political climate and the likelihood of a resignation by Tánaiste Frances Fitzgerald or a pre-Christmas election.
Gavin Grace had spoken to Junior Minister Pat Breen at a hastily-convened Fine Gael selection convention last night (Nov 27) in Ennis. We heard audio from this interview in which Minister Breen expressed support for the Tánaiste.
Clare’s FF TD, Dep Timmy Dooley then joined the discussion, saying the email revelations had strengthened his party’s call for Frances Fitzgerald to go.
We heard from Fiona Cahill at the Latoon Creek Bridge Protest yesterday. She also spoke to Tom Tiernan, Clare County Council Engineer following the start of structural repairs to the bridge.
Tommy Corbett from Carey Corbett Financial Services in Ennis joined us in studio to discuss the cost of Christmas and budgeting for the festive season.
Chairperson of Burren IFA Michael Davoren was the show’s next guest. He joined us on the line to discuss the latest meeting taking place tonight in St Johns Hall, Ballyvaughan at 8:30pm where there will be focus on inheritance schemes and land transfer among other issues.
The CEO and CTO of Irish Startup ‘DroneSAR’ joined Pat on the line to discuss their win at the European Commission prize 3 weeks ago. DroneSar were awareded this prize for the development of software which transforms standard drone and mobile devices into search and rescue data transmissions.
