Clare got their National Hurling League campaign off to a winning start with victory over the Cats. We brought you some of the highlights from the clash on the Breakfast show & what a scoring tally for Colin Ryan.
Clare's Got Talent
But it wasn't just the talent on the pitch that we were celebrating! On Saturday night in Glór, 10 acts took to the stage for the first semi-final of Clare's Got Talent 2014. The talent on display was immense, from dancers to singers to rappers. The judges had the task of voting through two acts. They chose:
Aoife Casey
Cosa Damhsa
The audience also got to vote for their favourite act & it was Cogar who claimed the thrid spot in the final. I had an amazing time on hosting duties and the audience & supporters were incredible.
Cogar
The Grand Final will take place on March 15th in Glór. The winning act will take home €5,000 thanks to sponsors St Francis Credit Union.
The 2nd and 3rd semi finals take place on Saturday 22nd February and Sunday 2nd March.
Tickets from Glór box Office 065 6843103 or log on to www.glor.ie
This morning we revealed how the wild card act for the final will be chosen. Each week the audience will vote through an act – and from the 3 weeks the act with fourth highest number of votes will go through to the final. It means the audience is very much the fourth judge so make sure you come along.
The next semi-final will take place on Saturday February 22nd in Glór.
The 10 acts taking to the stage are Broadway Dance Tapper, A&E, Molly Brannock, Binneas, Tri Thine, Cristin Nolan, Shane Killowry, Sophie Morrisey, Alison Hurley and The Man in Black.
