A huge congratulations to Scoil Chríost Rí who headed up to Carlow on Saturday night and won the Pan Celtic song contest with their song Sean Bhan Abú. We spoke to Karen Vaughan who wrote the music for the students who are fro 5th and 6th class. They now go on to international final of the competition in Derry this April. The song was written by their teachers Joe Garry … who you might know from here in Clare FM 🙂

We're counting down to the final of Clare's Got Talent which takes place this Saturday in Glór. All this week we'll be chatting to the 10 acts who'll be taking to the stage and hoping to take home the 5000 prize thanks to sponsors St Francis Credit Union.

Clare's Got Talent 2014 Finalists: Cosa Damhsa, Aoife Casey, The Matildas, A&E, Purple Electric, Cristin Nolan, Cogar, In Tune, Binneas and Breakthrough Dance Company.

At the end of the week we've a pair of tickets to give-away to the final. Tune in for details on how you can win.

It's Seachtain na Gaeilge and we're using the cupla focail. The students from St Michael's Community College, Kilmihil have been helping us out with some Seanfhocial's, focails and great songs as gaeilge. Their teacher Ruth Morrissey has been working hard with the students to promote the Irish language and they recently won Corn Maidhc Dainín Ó Sé. You can check out the different ways they're promoting Irish on www.gaeilgegaga.com or follow them on twitter @GaeilgeGaga.

Tune in from weekdays 6am.
Ciara 🙂
