Crsuheen hoping to avoid “Replay syndrome”

Crusheen take on na Piarsigh this Sunday in the Munster replay, once again just 60 minutes from claiming a Munster title.

One thing that is clear however and will have been drummed home to the players is how much an improvement will be required to become the first Clare side since 2000 to win the provincial title.

Wides, wrong decison making and possibly a lack of fresh options on their bench  compared to the Limerick side cost Crusheen last Sunday.

The big issue this week ahead of the game is  how both sides would recover mentally more than physically from last week.

The difficulty for each management is making things fresh but also learning enough from the opening day to ensure of victory on the second outing.

A common theme in replays is often how the team that snatches the draw or performs better on day one never quite reach the same heights on the second day out.

For Crusheen this is a huge worry as they for almost 40 minutes blitzed Na Piarsigh-but then fadly badly.

Michael Browne and his selectors will know what they have to do-the key will be whetrehr the players can respond and sharped up enough

Crusheen will go in again as underdogs but for them to be successful it will be vital to adapt and incorporate the lessons learned from six days ago.
