Eoghan Donnellan’s second half goal put the icing on the 1-15 to 0-8 win, with former county captain Gary Brennan contributing 0-9 for the winners.

Tonight’s quarter final draw will see champions Eire Og, Cratloe and Ennistymon go in as top seeds, with one of the second placed teams, namely St Breckans, Lissycasey and Kilmurry Ibrickane to be drawn as the fourth seeded team. Corofin and Clondegad complete the line up, with no repeat pairings allowed.

In the battle to survive, Doonbeg secured their top flight status after seeing off Miltown in a game that took extra time to decide.

It means the 2018 and 2019 champions have one last chance to stay up, as they face Kilmihil in the relegation final in two weeks time.

The draws will also be made tonight for the intermediate semi finals, with Cooraclare, Kildysart, O’Currys and Ennistymon all in the hat.

The Junior A semi final draw will involve Killimer, Liscannor, Kilkee and Kilmurry Ibrickane.
