Clare have gotten their All Ireland Intermediate Ladies Football championship off to the perfect start.
Evan Talty’s side overcame Down by 1-18 to 0-9 in Pairc Esler to move into a strong position to reach the knockout stages.
A Fidelma Marrinan goal midway through the opening half helped Clare to lead by 1-11 to 0-3 at half time, with Marrinan finishing with a personal tally of 1-5.
