Madden Urges Townies To Be More Clinical In Clare SFC Semi Final

Eire Óg boss Paul Madden feels his side will have to be more clinical if they are to get back to the Clare senior football final.

The Townies edged a tight contest with Ennistymon to reach the last four, where a showdown with St Breckan’s awaits in two weeks time.

Madden says they know an improvement will be needed to bridge a seven year gap since they last reached the decider.

Meanwhile Miltown boss Michael Neylon feels his side can have no complaints as their championship season came to an end.

A late brace of Joe McGann goals saw St Breckan’s overcome the 2019 champions, who failed the make the last four for the second year running since winning their last title.

Neylon says they simply met a superior opponent.
