The Chairperson of Rice College says its student body may rise to around 1,000 students after a 26 room expansion was approved at the school.

13 new mainstream classrooms are to be constructed following confirmation from the Department of Education, along with four special education rooms and nine new subject-specific rooms.

No date has been earmarked for the beginning of the works, though it’s understood a ‘change of use’ planning application for the river side building adjacent to the college will be pursued.
