Work To Begin On Long-Awaited 60-Bed Modular Unit At UHL

Work is finally set to begin on the long-awaited 60-bed modular unit to alleviate overcrowding at University Hospital Limerick.

The HSE has instructed the UL Hospitals Group to get the excavation works underway straight away, having granted €2 million of the required 19 million to allow it to begin.

The Health Minister says this initial injection of funding will allow for the enabling works to take place.
