Clare’s Sinn Fein representative is accusing the Government of over stating the figures in relation to the amount of new homes being built.
The Department of Housing currently calculates its housing completion statistics using connections to the ESB network.
Statistics show there were 2,387 new houses built in Clare since 2011, with 379 of those coming last year.
