Homes in Cratloe have been left without water for up to three days following power outages at a local pumphouse.
The pump which leads to Cratloe Woods and Gallow's Hill shuts down when power supply is interrupted with crews having to manually reset trip-switches.

Irish Water says it will not supply a back-up generator as it would not eliminate the need for staff to drain and reset the pump but says it is aware of the problem and is looking a number of options.
