Work is to get underway on a new €2.7 million headquarters for the Clare Civil Defence.
Clare County Council has signed the contracts for the upgrade and refurbishment of an existing building in the Quin Road Industrial Estate in Ennis, with work to commence on Monday.
It’ll see a large training facility developed for the 90 volunteers currently in the service, with space to store their fleet of vehicles and a records management centre for Clare County Council.
