Tubber jockey Derek O’Connor and Edwulf will return to Leopardstown this Sunday, as they look to retain the Unibet Irish Gold Cup.
O’Connor’s victory aboard Edwulf in last year’s outing of the race was a career highlight for the Clareman, who was subsequently awarded the Ride of the Year honour at Horse Racing Ireland’s annual awards in recognition of his performance.
Edwulf is now one of 13 horses still in contention for Sunday’s renewal, which is one of the highlights of the Irish racing calendar.
