The show opened with a discussion of negotiations between Bus Éireann management and members of the National Bus and Rail Workers Union (NBRU). Gavin was joined on the line by Killaloe-area councillor and NBRU member Tony O’Brien.

Morning Focus then heard about developments in Tuam following news that a significant number of human remains have been found at the site of the former Mother and Baby Home in the town. Gavin was joined first by Siobhán Holliman, Deputy Editor of the Tuam Herald and then by Rita McCarthy, a historian looking into the home in Kilrush.

The issue of election posters was then discussed with Cllr Ian Lynch, who is hoping to have them banned in Kilrush.

Gavin was then joined in studio by Mark Campbell of the HSE Midwest who spoke about a course of group treatment for those who are dependent on cannabis and who would like to quit using it or cut down their use.

Dave O’Brien a motivational speaker then joined Gavin on the line ahead of a special appearance at the West County Hotel in Ennis.

Shannon Duty Free shop is approaching its 70th birthday. Some of the former staff of the facility are organising a reunion (March 29 at the Radisson Blu Hotel) and ahead of it Denis Kelly, Eleanor O’Brien and Vera Smith joined Gavin in studio to share their experiences over the years.

The Monday Sports Panel was made up of Derrick Lynch, Peter O’Connell of the Clare Champion and Eoin Brennan of the Clare People.

As well as launching the Clare FM Sports Star of the Month initiative, the panel launched a new song in support of the Ballyea Hurling Team.

Morning Focus concluded with a performance in studio by Ennis artist Laura Mulcahy of a track called ‘Dummies Guide to Love’ from her new album ‘Funeral Home Lizard’. She was accompanied on the accordion by Sarah Ferrigan of Clare Women’s Network.
