Kilkenny chairman labels loughane comments on cody as “disrespectful”

The chairman of Kilkenny GAA has expressed his disappointment at calls by Ger Loughnane for Brian Cody to step down as manager of their senior hurlers.

The Feakle native made the remarks in his Irish Daily Star column this week, saying he felt the time was right for Cody to end his tenure for the long term good of Kilkenny hurling.

Cody has been in charge of the Cats since 1998, winning 11 All Ireland Senior Championships in that period.
