With the countdown well underway to the Christmas holidays, people across Clare are getting ready to switch off for the festive period.
But as thousands get ready to take to the roads, Gardaí are urging people driving home for Christmas to take their time and not let their excitement get the better of them.
Roads are expected to be extremely busy, with both schools and offices breaking up this afternoon.
