Clare Campaigners React To Eighth Amendment Vote

Abortion Rights Clare is describing the upcoming referendum on the Eighth Amendment as an opportunity to bring Ireland into the modern world.

An Oireachtas Committee this week voted in favour of a repeal of the Eighth, unrestricted access to abortion up to 12 weeks and abortion in cases of rape, incest, and fatal foetal abnormalities.

The divisive issue has led to lively debate about what specifically will be asked in the referendum, which is expected to be held in May.
