Waterford are one win away from their first All-Ireland hurling title in 58 years.

They defeated Cork in a dramatic semi-final which included four goals, three red cards and plenty of other talking points.

Waterford were a point up at the break, mainly thanks to an early Micheal Brick Walsh goal after just 4 minutes.

Cork were arguably the better side in the third quarter, but the game massively changed when Damien Cahalane was sent off for the Munster champions.

From there Waterford took full advantage of the extra man, outscoring their opponents in the last 20 minutes by 3-8 to 5 points.

The goals coming from Austin Gleeson and a brace from Jamie Barron.

It means they’ll now play Galway on September 3rd – the first ever final meeting between the sides.
