Victories For Clarecastle, Inagh-Kilnamona & Ogonelloe/Scariff In Clare MHC

There were victories for Clarecastle, Inagh-Kilnamona and Ogonelloe/Scariff in the second round of the Clare Minor A Hurling Championship.
Thirteen matches in total took place across the county this evening.
Last year’s runners up Clarecastle got their campaign underway with a hard fought two point victory against Sixmilebridge, the goal proving decisive in a 1-18 to 0-19 victory.
In Group 2 Inagh-Kilnamona enjoyed a comprehensive 3-24 to 0-15 win over Clonlara.
Meanwhile, the third group saw Ogenelloe/Scariff overcome St Joseph’s Doora Barefield 2-17 to 1-12.
At Minor B level, in group 1, Ballyea and Wolfe Tones played out an entertaining draw, and Éire Og Ennis survived a late Tulla fight back to record a two point victory.
Group 2 saw Broadford make it two unbeaten with a 2-18 to 1-17 victory over Crusheen-Tubber. Bodyke O Callaghan’s Mills recorded a comfortable win over Banner in Group 3, with Kilmaley and Newmarket On Fergus playing out an entertaining 1-17 to 0-20 draw.
There were also wins at C level for Smith O Briens and Ennistymon.
The minors across all levels now have a two week cooling off period before the final round robin games on Wednesday, 26th August.
