U-21 Football draw

The Clare U21 football championship draw took place at the June meeting of the Clare county board last evening.

“A” Champions St Josephs Doorabearfield have been drawn against Doonbeg in round one while Wolfe Tones and Kilrush also playing a first series match.

Last years defeated finalists Kilmurry Ibrickane will take on Eire Og in the first quarter final with Cooraclare playing Cratloe.

The other quarter final spots are between the amagalmation side Michael Cusacks/Tubber/Kilfenora/Liscannor and the winner of Doonbeg/St Jospehs and the winner of Wolfe tones and Kilrush will meet Ennistymon in the last eight

Managers and players of the U-21 Football sides across the county have been weighing up their opposition after last night’s draw for the upcoming county championships.

In the B competition, Lissycasey face Meelick/Parteen for the right to play a quarter final against Kilmihil while Kildysart/Coolmeen await the winners of St. Joseph’s Miltown and Corofin in the last 8.

The other quarter finals see Clondegad play Shannon Gaels and St.Senan’s take on St. Breckan’s.

Games are due to be played at the end of the month.
