Two All Irelands For Clare’s Handballers

Two Clare handball teams are returning to the Banner as All Ireland Champions after the Doubles Handball Championship at the weekend.

East Clare duo Diarmuid Nash and Colin Crehan won their game against familar opposition. Their opponents were reigning Champions Paul Brady and Michael Finegan of Cavan, who beat the Clare men in last year’s final.

Elsewhere, Tiernan Agnew and Mark Rodgers brought home the All Ireland title in the minor boys competiton.

Caitriona Millane and Bridin Dinan narrowly missed out in their minor girls title on Saturday, while Fergal Coughlan and Tom Kirby were defeated in the Masters decider after a tiebreak.
