One of Clare’s key men says he wasn’t surprised by the challenge they faced from Limerick in Sunday’s Munster Football Quarter Final.

The Banner registered a third victory in a row over their neighbours, despite conceding a late goal which saw their lead reduced to the minimum.

They now take on Kerry in the last four with that game set for Cusack Park in just under two weeks time.

Doonbeg’s David Tubridy, who was celebrating his 30th birthday, says they knew it was a game that would go all the way to wire.
