Tipp Minors Edge Out Clare In Munster MHC

Tipperary’s minor hurlers have taken victory over Clare this afternoon.

Tipperary took early control of the game, first with a point and then a third minute goal to put the Banner men under pressure.

Within ten minutes, Mark Rodgers added another goal to his record to equalise the game on 1-3 apiece.

The sides kept each other relatively honest for most of the first half but Clare managed to pull out a three point lead by the halfway mark.

Tipp came out firing in the second half and drew the sides equal once again, to open the game up for the remaining ten minutes.

The game was intensely fought for the last ten minutes until a last gasp Tipp goal secured the win for the Premier.

Final score in Semple Stadium was Tipperary 2-14, Clare 1-12.
