Sunday sports round up.
Starting with gaa and the Clare hurlers have won their second game of the National Hurling league but only just after they emerged from Portlaoise with a 2-12 to 1-11 win today.
Clare led at half time by 1-5 to 6 points but the sides were level at 1-9 each entering the final 10 minutes before Alan
Markham struck for a goal which gave Clare the breathing space required to go on to claim victory.
Elsewhere in Division Two:
Wexford beat Down by 2-23 to 1-12 and there was also wins for Kildare and Carlow.
Meanwhile in Divison One it was a mixed day for the Clare men training other counties as Anthony Daly's Dublic shocked
Tipperary with a 1-21 to 1-12 win while Davy Fitzgerald's Waterford lost to Galway by 4-15 to 1-14.
in Camogie news and Clare were on the end of a 17 point defeat today in their opening game of the new year to Galway.
The final score in Athenry was Clare 1-5 Galway 3-16.

And in soccer last season's Prego menswear cup champions Rhineanna Rovers are out of this eaers competition after suffering a shock 2-0 defeat to Burren United.
Rock rovers beat Bridge Utd 3-2 while Bunratty a had a 3-0 win over Moher Celtic.
There was also wins for Avenue Utd, Sporting Ennistymon,Hermitage and Lifford.
