Sports round up.

The Clare hurling panel and team management are due to meet within the  48 hours in a bid to resolve the current crisis in the county.

The players held a meeting on Thursday night to discuss the events of the county board meeting held earlier this week and almost 30 players were in attendance.

This weekend’s discussions are seen as make or break in finding a successful solution to the long running dispute in the county.

Crusheen have been crowned senior B  hurling champions after they beat O Callaghans Mills in the replay of the final today in Clarecastle by 1-9 to 11 points.

The Mills led at half time by 6 points to 1-2, Pa O Grady getting the goal for Crusheen while Adrian Flaherty scored 4 points for the mills.

The sides exchanged scores through the second half before a long range free from Ciaran O Doherty proved ultimatly the difference between the sides in the finsih.

 
In the u13 hurlling final today Doorabearfield beat Kilamley by 3-7 to 1-4.

RUGBY:

Jerry Flannery has been passed fit to play for Ireland against Australia in their Autumn International in Dublin tomorrow.

The Munster hooker suffered a slight strain in his calf-muscle on Friday, but took part in training this morning and will play tomorrow.
