Newmarket Celtic have gone top of the Maloney Garden Machinery Premier Division.

Their 2-1 win over Shannon Town yesterday, along with Avenue United’s 1-1 draw with Turnpike Rovers, sees them two points clear of their Ennis rivals after six games.

In yesterday’s other games, Lifford beat Bridge United 5-1 while Shannon Town beat Sporting Ennistymon 4-0.
