SOCCER UPDATE:

Clare soccer premier division leaders Bunratty look to put a run of poor form behind them when they face Avenue United in a Premier league title play off on Sunday.

Donal Magee’s side have topped the table in the premier since September but Avenue drew level on points in the last round to set up the play off on Sunday in McDonagh Park at 11 o’clock.

UEFA will decide on Monday whether to overturn Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher’s red card.

The club are appealing on compassionate grounds against what they think was an incorrect decision to send him off in their Champions League semi final with Arsenal.
