A Shannon-born footballer has been called up to the first squad of La Liga side Getafe.
21-year-old Ryan Nolan began his professional career with Italian Seria C team SS Arezzo before making the move back to Spain where he’s lived since he was 8.
Originally signing for Getafe’s B side who play in the third division, Nolan will now tog out for the first team as they take on Eiber which is already underway.
