Search For Clare’s Greatest Sporting Moment Narrowed Down To Four

Clare FM listeners have narrowed down their search for this county’s greatest sporting moment to the last four.

Up for the distinction now is Anthony Foley lifting the Heineken Cup in 2006 – as well as three iconic Gaelic games moments.

They’re Davy Fitzgerald’s save from Tipperary’s John Leahy in the 1997 All Ireland hurling final, Eamon Taafe’s goal in the corresponding fixture in 1995 against Offaly, and Anthony Daly’s speech after the 95 win.
