Munster remain top of the Guinness PRO14 Conference B table despite suffering their second defeat last night.
Edinburgh were 18-16 winners in Irish Independent Park to move to second place, two points behind the Reds.
Tommy O’Donnell scored Munster’s try five minutes before half-time while Academy out-half Ben Healy kicked three penalties in an impressive debut.
