Reynolds Says Swift Decision Will Be Made In Light Of Minor Hurling Final Incident

The chairman of Bord na nOg iomaint says the group will deal with any disciplinary matters arising out of the unseemly incidents at last weekend’s Clare Minor Championship Final.

Martin Reynolds says the board will act swiftly after referee Jim Hickey submits his report into the game between Clarecastle and Kilmaley which saw clashes between the management and supporters of both sides, including a number of high profile figures.

There had been suggestions that the matter could be dealt with by the senior board, but Reynolds, who himself will step aside from the hearing, given his ties with Clarecastle, says that will not occur.

He’s told Clare FM that he feels it’s a shame that Kilmaley’s victory has been overshadowed in this way.
