Reidy’s Red Card Overturned On Appeal

Clare’s David Reidy has had the red card he received against Limerick last weekend overturned this afternoon.

The Eire Óg clubman was sent off following an incident with Limerick defender Diarmuid Byrnes in the Munster semi-final in Ennis last Sunday.

Reidy contested the alleged ‘striking with a hurley, with minimal force’ following an off the ball challenge by Byrnes, and his sending off was today overturned by the Central Hearings Committee.

It means Reidy will be available for selection in next Sunday’s Munster Hurling Final against Cork.
