Peter O’Mahony Returns as Munster Team Announced for Connacht Game

The Munster Team has been announced for Saturday’s PRO14 encounter with Connacht.

Peter O’Mahony returns as captain and replacement Billy Holland could make a landmark 200th appearance.

Munster coach Johan van Grann has made seven changes from their victory over Leinster for Saturday’s trip to Galway.

Peter O’Mahony captains the side and Chris Farrell returns from injury. Tommy O’Donnell, Alex Wootton, Alby Matthewson, Jeremy Loughman and Arno Botha also start.

Andrew Conway plays at full back; Keith Earls, Chris Farrell, Dan Goggin and Wootton play in the three-quarter line; Matthewson and Joey Carbery partner at scrum and out half.

Loughman, Niall Scannell and John Ryan form the front row, Jean Kleyn and Tadhg Beirne are behind them; with Peter O’Mahony, Tommy O’Donnell and Arno Botha completing the pack.

Connacht’s side doesn’t include Bundee Aki but prop Denis Buckley will make his 150th start and winger Matt Healy returns from injury.

Kick-off on Saturday at the Sportsground is 7.35pm.
