Clare jockey Derek O’Connor has made more racing history after taking victory in one of the sports most prestigious events.
The Tubber native was aboard 33/1 shot Edwulf as they came home first in the 2018 Irish Gold Cup at the Dublin Racing Festival.
It was a first win in the race for O’Connor and gave trainer Joseph O’Brien a first Grade One winner over fences.
