Clare’s footballers have returned to winning ways after coming from behind to beat Kildare in Cusack Park yesterday.
The Banner men were hoping to recover from a one point defeat to Westmeath in the League Opener last weekend but were facing a challenge in the form of a Kildare side who’ve gotten the better of them in recent years.
Playing in tough conditions, Kildare took a four point lead at one stage in the first half – but strong performances from Keelan Sexton and Gearoid O’Brien helped Colm Collins’ side move ahead.
