A Clare jockey believes the prospect of he and other Irish jockeys being able to travel to Cheltenham in March looks ‘next to impossible’ at the moment.
The Festival is due to begin on the 16th of March, with enhanced COVID-19 restrictions on travel now in place on both sides of the Irish Sea.
Tubber’s Derek O Connor has won three times at the Festival, most recently steering Minella Rocco to victory in 2016’s National Hunt Chase.
