No Activity For Clare GAA Sides Until Easter At The Earliest

Intercounty sides in Clare and the rest of the country won’t be in a position to return to training until Easter at the earliest.

The GAA are, however, hoping the Allianz Leagues can be staged despite the delay to the inter county calendar.

The Association’s fixture calendar is now up the air after it was revealed Gaelic Games is no longer covered under Level 5 exemptions for elite level sports during the pandemic.

Clare had been set to take part in a regionalised format of the National Football League, and were also hopeful of repeating a successful hurling league campaign after last year’s final appearance.

GAA Director of Communications Alan Milton says losing the Leagues would be a last resort.
