Newmarket’s Hayes Nominated For FAI Junior International Player Of The Year

A Clare man is once more in the running to be crowned the FAI Junior International Player Of The Year.

Newmarket Celtic’s Eoin Hayes has been nominated for the award after a memorable 12 months in the Irish, Clare and Newmarket jersey.

He was part of the Irish squad for the Regions Cup, netting 3 goals in two games en route to the final.

He also scored the winner as Clare won back to back Oscar Traynor titles while he was also part of the Newmarket side that won a record sixth successive Clare Cup.

He will be bidding to follow in the footsteps of fellow Newmarket man Stephen Kelly who won the award last year
