Defending champions Newmarket Celtic have opened their bid for two Clare League titles in a row with a win.
A Gary Higgins goal was enough to see them beat Bridge United 1-0.
Elsewhere in the top tier, Avenue edged their Ennis derby against Turnpike 2-1, the spoils were shared in North Clare as Moher Celtic and Sporting Ennistymon played out a 2-2 draw while Olympic took bragging rights in Shannon with a 4-3 win over Shannon Town.
