Clare’s Ladies Footballers have lost to Meath in their last eight tie of the All Ireland Intermediate Championships.

Neil Moynihan’s side were battling newly relegated Meath in their last eight tie, and were missing Becky Mahon through suspension and Nicole Doherty and Captain Laurie Ryan who were injured – although Ryan made a brief appearance in the final minutes.

Two goals from Ailish Considine and further green flags from Caitriona Callinan and Grainne Nolan gave Clare the edge for much of the game, but a penalty for Meath and two further goals and fifteen points gave them the edge in the end.
