Munster Rugby has confirmed that an academy player has tested positive for COVID-19.

In a statement on social media this afternoon, the province say training did not take place at the High Performance Centre and Thomond Park today as a precautionary measure.

Munster say the player immediately self-isolated on development of symptoms over the weekend.

They say they will resume preparations for their Guinness PRO14 clash with Leinster on Monday.
