Rory McIlroy failed to progress into the final round of the Fedex Cup series following last night’s 4th-round of the BMW Championship in Chicago.
McIlroy ended on 3-over-par following a round of 68 in an event won by Dustin Johnson on 9-under-par.
Meanwhile, Germany’s Martin Kaymer managed a four-shot victory at the KLM Open in Holland yesterday. The recent US PGA champion carded a final round of 66 to finish the tournament on 14 under par, with Darren Clarke the best of the Irish challengers on 6-under-par.
