Mc Namara to remain as Clare hurling boss

Mike Mc Namara is to remain as Clare hurling boss following the November meeting of the Clare county board.

The under fire boss addressed delegates for nearly an hour last evening after media had been asked to leave the meeting so he could speak in private.

A Letter from 27 players on this years  Clare hurling panel was also read out at the meeting which explained that only one of the group had voted in favour of a confidence motion in Mc Namara on the 1st of November

The Scariff man then spoke to media afterwards where it was revealed that he received full backing from club delegates and the county board to remain in his position and to iron out the difficulties between Management and the players.

A meeting between players and the mangement is now set to take place in the next 7-10 days in order to finally resolve the outstanding issues between both  parties.
