May 22nd and June 19th Dates for Clare gaa followers diaries!

Clare will take on Cork on May 22nd in the opening game of next years Munster senior football championship and the county  hurlers will play the winner of Cork V Tipperary in the Munster semi final on the 19th of June.

The county u21’s and minors also know their opposition in next years provincial championships following last nights meeting of the Munster council which finalised the dates for next season’s competitions.

The Clare senior footballers face the toughest possible start to their Munster campaign  of 2011 when they take on Cork in Pair Ui Chaoimh next May.

Ger O loughlin’s hurling side meanwhile  will be interested spectators at the May 29th meeting between Cork and Tipperrary to see who will play Clare nearly a month later on the 19th of June.

Elsewhere the county minor side will begin the defense of their Munster crown when they travel to Kerry on the 27th of April while the minor footballers meet Waterford  away in their opening game on the 13th of April.

The Clare U21 hurlers meet Limerick for the second successive season at a semi final stage  on the 21st of July while their football counterparts will be at home to the Shannonsiders on March 9th.

The intercounty season for Michael Mc Dermott and Ger O loughlin will begin in January with the Waterford Crystal and Mc Grath cups’ opening rounds.

Clare meet I.T Tralee in the opening game of the new hurling season on January 16th with the winner up against Limerick I.T in the q-final a week later while Michael Mc Dermott must also prepare for a student test on the 9th of January when Clare meet Ucc in the opening round of the Mc Grath cup.
