A brilliant performance on and off the field has sent Mayo into yet another All-Ireland football final.

They defeated Kerry by 2-16 to 17 points in today’s semi-final replay at Croke Park, with Dublin or Tyrone now awaiting them on the third Sunday of September.

Mayo manager Stephen Rochford saw his tactical changes work perfectly, and they held a deserved 5 point lead at the break.

Andy Moran then found the back of the net in the second half to give them a healthy lead they never relinquished.

The tie was a bad-tempered affair on several occasions, and it ended with 14 against 13 after Paddy Durcan was shown a second yellow card as was Peter Crowley.

Kieran Donaghy was given a straight red card deep into injury for an alleged strike on Aidan O’Shea.
